The Bible
The Bible is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and is useful for teaching, helping people, correcting and showing them how to live .
2 Timothy 3:16, 17; 2 Peter 1:20, 21
God
There is one God, creator of the universe, existing eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
John 10:30; John 14:26; Philippians 2:5-7
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. He lived a sinless life on earth and became the blameless sacrifice for the sins of all mankind by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead after three days, taking in his hands the power of sin and death. He then ascended to heaven where He is seated on the right hand of the Father. Jesus will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5 & 14; 10:30; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; Act 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14-15 ; Titus 2:13
Man, His Fall and Redemption
Man is made in the spiritual image of God, but was separated from God because of the sin of Adam in the Garden of Eden. As a result, God sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross so that man could have a relationship with God again.
Genesis 1:26; 1 Timothy 2:5; Romans 5:1-21
Salvation
We can now have a personal relationship with God through salvation, which is God’s free gift to man. If we will admit that we have sinned and believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for us, and that He arose from the dead, we can accept Him as our Lord, and receive his gift of eternal life.
Rom 10:9-10
Water Baptism
We believe water baptism, as taught and demonstrated by Jesus, is an outward sign of the inward work of Jesus in our hearts. It is the way for believers to identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4, Matthew 3:13-17
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift from God. He is the helper who empowers us to live the Christian life in victory.
