The aforementioned scripture is the mantra for the ministry of Minister Michael G. Cleveland, Jr. A St. Louis native, Minister Cleveland received the Lord into his heart at the age of 13. From that moment began a life filled with God-ordained moments. After graduating from Parkway North High School, he attended Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. For the past 26 years, Minister Cleveland has been employed with the American Red Cross, working his way up from part-time maintenance man to Lab Supervisor. The characteristics of perseverance and tenacity epitomized in his secular work life would be highly instrumental in his spiritual life.
In 1994, Minister Michael Cleveland united with Trinity Mount Carmel Baptist Church under the pastorate of Pastor Charles M. Roach. Under Pastor Roach’s teaching and instruction, Minster Cleveland allowed the greater work of God to be formed in him. His spiritual journey moved forward by serving in various capacities of the ministry. Minister Cleveland was appointed as a TMC board trustee, where he chaired the building and grounds committee, and later became the board chair. He also served in the Sunday School department, imparting Biblical wisdom to the teenagers and adults. His love for God and people energized his servanthood. In 2005, Minister Cleveland received his license to preach the gospel. In 2007, he was ordained in the gifting areas of Pastor/Teacher and Administration. In March 2015, Pastor Roach named Minister Cleveland as successor and appointed him to the office of Assistant Pastor.
